BIO

On his latest album, “The Big Fix-Deluxe Edition” (released December 2017) Raleigh, N.C.-based singer-songwriter Steve Hartsoe delivers a diverse mix of rootsy songs about love, loss and languor, propelled by gritty guitars, strained vocals and groove-tight rhythms.

The deluxe edition of the original 2016 album was remixed and remastered by Kevin McNoldy (Dave Matthews, Mary Chapin Carpenter) at Cphonic Mastering and features five bonus tracks -- two of them new songs. The album’s tracks follow a style reminiscent of bands like Son Volt, with loud, guitar-driven rockers alongside more country-flavored songs.

Hartsoe honed his musical skills fronting an alternative rock band in the San Francisco area in the 1980s and '90s, London Down and its later incarnation, The Raging Marys. The band released two indie albums and repeatedly toured the West Coast, opening for artists including Mudhoney, Tragically Hip and Chris Isaak.
